Opportunities to fulfill service hours are many: classroom assistance, yard duty, library, room parent, parent teacher board, field trip chaperones and other on-campus programs. All parents must have completed a VIRTUS training course, Live Scan Fingerprinting, and their certificate must be on file in the school office, in order to volunteer and accrue service hours. Service hours are automatically accrued through SchoolSpeak sign-ups, or are given by the Parent Teacher Board Chair or faculty member.
By signing up for a volunteer shift, you are committing to do the work. Please do not sign up for any shifts you do not intend to fulfill, as this prevents others from signing up and directly inconveniences fellow parents. If you are unexpectedly unable to fulfill a shift, please let the Parent Teacher Board Chair, for the activity, know right away. If a parent fails to appear for a shift or cancels on less than 48 hours' notice without arranging a substitute, a no-show fee of $50 per hour will be billed via FACTS.
