13.11.5 - Married Students

Married Students

Central to the philosophy of archdiocesan and parish high schools is the belief that parents/guardians are the primary educators of their children. In support of this, the school and the parents/guardians work in close collaboration in all aspects of the student’s educational process. Since a married student is in effect no longer accountable to parents/guardians, the relationship between the school and the parents/guardians is compromised. Therefore, a high school may preclude a student who marries from continuing to attend school. The principal is expected to confer with the assistant regional superintendent of the Department of Catholic Schools before making any final decision.

7-16-2021, 10-28-2024
