Athletics
Our Lady of Refuge Catholic School offers an interscholastic sports program, through the Catholic Youth Organization, for all students in grades 3 – 8. The purpose of the athletic program is to provide students the opportunity to develop athletic skills, to promote physical fitness, and to foster Christian sportsmanship. There is a sports fee per athlete per sport. These fees are non-refundable (any exception is at the discretion of the principal) and cover the costs of CYO registration, coaches’ stipends (for non-volunteer coaches), referee fees, and tournament entrance fees. The sports fee must be paid prior to an athlete participating in any league game. Track and Field is an exception. Track and Field is free for any athlete who has participated in another CYO sport during the current school year (This excludes Catholic Baseball League). If the student has not participated in another sport, the fee is in effect.
