Make Up Work

When a student is absent, they are responsible for contacting their teachers to collect all missed assignments and course materials. To preserve instructional time, students should meet with teachers outside of regular class periods, such as before or after school, during advisory, or during designated office hours. For any anticipated absences—including school-sponsored athletic events or approved personal travel—students must inquire about and request their coursework ahead of time to stay on track.

Make-up work following an excused absence must be submitted within a reasonable time frame established in consultation with the teacher. Work that is not submitted within the agreed-upon make-up window will automatically fall under the guidelines of the course's Late Work Policy as detailed in the syllabus. Proactive communication remains essential; failing to coordinate make-up arrangements in a timely manner may result in standard late penalties or require administrative review.
