After-School Academic Support & Tutoring
To support student academic success, our teachers regularly offer after-school tutoring for students needing extra assistance or targeted skill-building. When a student requires additional reinforcement, teachers may reach out directly to parents and guardians to encourage or strongly recommend attendance. Academic achievement is a partnership, and parents or guardians are also encouraged to proactively contact their student’s teacher at any time to request tutoring or discuss additional support services.
If a student requires private tutoring or parents/guardians wish to have a student tutored in school subjects, the parents/guardians are responsible for engaging the tutor and paying all tutoring costs.
Teachers may not be paid for tutoring students attending the school in which they work. In rare occasions, with prior permission from the principal and regional superintendent, teachers may tutor students who attend the same school but are not in their class, and be paid for such tutoring by the parents/guardians.
