FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS AND PARENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Fundraisers

All parents are expected to support the fundraisers of the school. Tuition does not cover all of the school expenses. Fundraisers make up the deficit. Failure to support school fundraisers by meeting requirements will jeopardize your student enrollment for the following year.

Credit-Earning Fundraising  (Fundraising Committment)

Each family has a required profit level of support each year of $350.00 per family. If fundraising requirements are not met in full, the fundraising balance will be charged to your account. The school will provide several fundraiser opportunities, to allow parents to fulfill this commitment. Parents will be notified of the dates for these activities.  Participation in fundraisers will be credited toward a family's Fundraising Committment at the discretion of the administration.

The Fundraising Committment can also be fulfilled by providing donations of supplies and/or giftcards to the organization of a fundraising event. Such donations must first be approved by the principal. Credit towards the Fundraising Committment will only be granted to a family if accompanied by an appropriate receipt. Donations cannot be accepted with items purchased with Calfresh money or through any other government program.

Parent Participation – Volunteer Hours Program

As stated in our school philosophy, parents are the primary educators of their children. The school is the educational setting for learning. There is a common bond between the parent, school staff, clergy and students. Our Parent Participation Program has two goals. First, to create a lasting bond between parents, students and the school. Second, to raise necessary funds for the school.

Each family is required to fulfill a minimum of 40 hours of service directly to aid financially in the education of children at St. Catherine. Any unfulfilled hours will be billed at $25 per hour. Details of this program are available through the school office. We are proud of the participation and enthusiasm of our parents. It is a strength we all believe makes our school so vital.

Please call the school for information regarding volunteer programs. You will be provided with a Parent Service Hour Card which must be initialed by an authorized school representative each time you perform Parent Service Hours work.  You may obtain these cards in the school office. You will be notified several times during the school year with an account of your hours. Please note that you are responsible for working on the projects you selected.

School Carnival

Each family must perform at least 25 of their 40 Volunteer hours at the School Carnival. Any unfulfilled Carnival hours will be billed to the family at a rate of $25.00 per unfulfilled hour. The funds collected during the school Carnival are used to complete the payroll gap.

Parent service hours are valid towards the 25 hours family commitment if the result of the work realized by the family brings funds to the school. Parents may volunteer for the Carnival food and game booths. Parents may also work set-up, cleanup, ticket pre-sales, soliciting or other approved by the office activities for these hours.
