DRESS/UNIFORM CODE

Saint Philip the Apostle School believes that a dress code is necessary not only in recognition of the economic necessities of families but also because we hope that a de-emphasis of the material incentive placed on what one wears will foster an appreciation of the beauty that each student possesses as a child of God.

Our school uniform supplier is C.K.W. 9400 E. Las Tunas Dr. Temple City, CA 91780. (626) 287-1994. The only non-CKW clothing allowed is the white polo shirt.

Students out of uniform will phone home to have the uniform brought to school. Hats and nonprescription glasses are not to be worn. All articles of clothing are to be marked with the student's name and are not to be oversized.

During cold weather, girls may wear white, black, or navy blue tights.

Only skirts, jumpers, skorts, pants, and shorts purchased from CKW may be worn at school. The only jacket allowed at school is the school uniform jacket in either green or navy or the fuzzy red or blue jackets.

White undershirts worn under the uniform shirt/blouse must be tucked in.

Students may not wear turtlenecks or any other visible clothing under the uniform shirt or blouse.

The school reserves the right to send anyone home who comes to school out of uniform. The school also reserves the right to confiscate any non-uniform item. The confiscated item may be picked up in the office by a parent only. Unclaimed articles of clothing will be donated to a charity at the end of each trimester. If you are uncertain about any aspect of the dress code, please check with the school before you make a decision about purchases.
