Saint John the Baptist School is a closed campus during the school day. This means that during the school day, after arrival and before departure of the students, all visitors, including parents, must register as a visitor by signing in at the school office. They must also wear the visitor tag provided by the Front Office staff if they plan to remain on the school grounds. For the safety of your children we need to know who is on the campus at all times.

ALL Volunteers (including Field Trip Chaperones) must be VIRTUS TRAINED AND FINGERPRINTED, whether parent, family member or alumni, they must register and schedule their work ahead of time with the teacher, office staff or the administration. Alumni student volunteers must arrange their hours with the Vice Principal and are not allowed to leave campus in between their volunteer hours.

In order to provide a safe environment for our students, we have implemented the following guidelines for parents and other visitors during school hours:

  • No parents or visitors will be allowed to pass the table at the front office to disrupt classrooms in session. Forgotten items must be left on the table at the front office with the child’s name and class written on the items. Please do not bring “fast food” lunches for students. If your child forgets his lunch, the child should let his teacher know and we will provide lunch from the snack bar.
  • Parents and other visitors must check-in at the front office. If you are picking up a child for a doctor’s appointment orfor a child that is sick, please sign in then you will be instructed to go to the Health Room. Please remember any adult picking up a child must be on the emergency form and provide picture identification. It is the responsibility of the parent to inform the members on your child’s emergency form of our visitation policy.
