Periodic conferences between parents and teachers are an excellent means for the establishment of a cooperative relationship vital to a student's progress.  The school becomes aware of the home environment and related situations that might affect the student's progress.  At the same time, teachers will review with the parents the student's daily and over-all progress in subject area test results, conduct and effort, and social adjustment to the school situation.

Conferences should be held whenever parents believe that their student is not progressing as he/she should or whenever it is appropriate to speak with the child's teacher.  A conference may be arranged by sending a note to the child's teacher through email or backpack or by making a phone call to the school office.  School-wide conferences are scheduled for all parents in October.
