ST. CATHERINE LABOURÉ SCHOOL

Mission Statement

Inspired by the message and teachings of Jesus Christ, St. Catherine Labouré School is committed to excellence in Catholic education, serving students in preschool through eighth grade.  Our goal is to provide students with a strong foundation in the beliefs and practices of their faith, challenging academics, and opportunities for service and leadership development, thus empowering students to make a positive difference in the world. In partnership with parents, we are dedicated to educating the whole child in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment honoring the richly diverse backgrounds within our school community.

Statement of Philosophy

St. Catherine Labouré School is a community of believers who bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ by helping families guide their children in Catholic Christian values, the love of God, and the love of neighbor.  As members of this community, students grow to understand that serving and supporting others is a transforming influence in the world and a means to personal happiness.

In an atmosphere that is both stimulating and nurturing, all students are encouraged to develop their intellectual abilities and talents to be effective participants in tomorrow's society.  We achieve this by providing a challenging academic curriculum that includes technology, fine arts, foreign language, and physical education.  Through this comprehensive program, our students gain the knowledge and skills to become lifelong learners who think independently, logically, critically and creatively.

In partnership with parents, teachers lead students to be confident, competent and compassionate Catholic citizens who respect themselves and others.  We are blessed with a multi-cultural community where our students learn to appreciate and celebrate diversity.  Through project-based learning, team-building activities, and opportunities for leadership, our students learn to make sound decisions, accept responsibility for their actions, and speak-up for others.

Through the integration of faith, academics, service and integrity, we prepare our students to become Catholic leaders of tomorrow who recognize that God, above all, is the foundation for a purpose-filled life.
