Policies specific to the operation of the preschool classroom(s) must be developed by each school under Title 22 regulations. Refer to the Title 22
Child Care Regulations from the
California Department of Social Services (CDSS). The regulations are updated from time to time and must be reviewed regularly. Materials are now available only on the CDSS website and are no longer distributed by the department in paper form. Title 22 covers all aspects of the operation of a preschool and must be followed to the letter. Preschools must also follow all archdiocesan policies, procedures, and guidelines applicable to elementary schools that are not inconsistent with Title 22.
