13.9.2 - Disapproved Disciplinary Measures
<p><span style="font-weight:bold;">Disapproved Disciplinary Measures</span></p><p>The following disciplinary measures are <strong>disapproved</strong>:<br></p><ul><li><p>All corporal punishment, including shaking and slapping </p></li><li><p>Language that belittles or ridicules a student, his or her parents/guardians, or his or her family background </p></li><li><p>Using religious exercises as punitive measures. Encouraging contemplation or similar spiritual practices as a means of reflection is acceptable. </p></li><li><p>Bizarre and unusual punishments </p></li><li><p>Withholding or altering rightfully earned academic grades </p></li><li><p>Any disciplinary action that isolates a student without proper supervision<br></p></li></ul>7-16-2021, 11-17-2024<br>
