Leaving School Early
A student may not leave the school before the regular dismissal time without a request from a parent or guardian to the main office. The request must state the reason for early dismissal. 13 | Page Parents should also notify their student’s teacher in advance, so that the student and their material can be ready when picked up. Students picked up early from class is disruptive to class learning and teachers may not have all the materials ready for the student without advance notice. During STAR Testing, parents are requested not to make medical appointments unless urgently needed. If parents need to collect their students prior to their dismissal time, they must check in with the office first and the student will be sent to the office. Parents should not go directly to their child’s classroom.
