The
athletic fee is charged by sport & paid during the season of the
sport. The payment deadline date is
posted on the BMHS calendar and added to the tuition account.
Equipment
The head coach of the varsity team shall serve as the chief equipment manager of his/her sport.
This pertains to the issuance, maintenance and collection of all equipment furnished by the
athletic department. The head coach is responsible for delegating appropriate duties to the
lower-level coaches and assistant varsity coaches as he/she sees fit in discharging this
obligation. With regards to equipment, the following regulations will be observed:
1. When issuing equipment, each head coach provides an inventory sheet for the athlete
to sign. This will detail the equipment issued to each athlete.
2. The athletes, through their signatures, accept responsibility for preventing the abuse
and loss of equipment. The equipment returned by the athlete will be matched with this
inventory and any equipment lost or damaged due to negligence will be compensated
for by the athlete. The full 100% cost of the missing equipment will be added to next
month's tuition bill.
3. All equipment is for the use by the athletes during practice and competition only. It is
not for their personal use or to be worn any time outside of practice or competition
without the permission of the athletic office.
4. The head coach will keep the equipment inventory in his/her files until all equipment is
accounted for at the end of the season.
5. The head coach of each sport is responsible for providing the athletic director with a
season ending inventory which is kept on file.
6. The athletic equipment may not be loaned to students or alumni for all-star games or
other outside of school use without the expressed permission of the principal.
Uniforms
If
the uniform is not returned at the end of the season the family will be charged
at 150% of the cost to replace the uniform item.
