GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSIONPreferences shall be given to registered, contributing, and participating members of the parish.
- Families are considered parishioners if they
- are registered in St. Anastasia Parish
- attend Mass on Sunday on a regular basis at St. Anastasia Church and contribute on a regular basis to the financial support of St. Anastasia Church
- are involved and participate in St. Anastasia Parish programs and ministries
- Due to space limitations, the above does not guarantee admittance to St. Anastasia Catholic School.
- Children entering junior kindergarten must turn four on or before August 31st.
- Children entering kindergarten must turn five on or before August 31st.
- Children entering first grade must turn six on or before August 31st.
- The following tests are administered to incoming students:
- School Readiness Test administered by Chancy & Bruce, STAR testing.
- The parish school will strive to have Catholic education accessible to as many students as possible, both with its educational programs and financial considerations; however, it may have insufficient resources to serve the educational needs of all students.
- All students must comply with current California immunization and health requirements prior to enrollment.
- The pastor and principal will review a student’s continued eligibility for enrollment in the parish school.
READMISSION POLICY
Being an active participant of St. Anastasia Parish, as outlined above, is one important component to being readmitted. Equally important is meeting St. Anastasia Catholic School’s behavior and academic expectations.
If the student does not meet the behavior and/or academic expectations of St. Anastasia Catholic School, as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook, the student may not be invited to re-register for the following school year.
