Students who receive “needs improvement” in an academic subject and/or behavior and effort at a progress report or report card period may be placed on
academic probation. In such instances, students have until the next marking period (either progress report or report card) to show improvement. If there is no significant change, retention may be considered, or the student may be asked to
transfer to another school.
