Schools are responsible for creating the school calendar that utilizes the template provided by the Department of Catholic Schools. The Department of Catholic Schools recommends 200 days of student instruction. However, the school calendar must provide for a minimum of 180 instructional days.

All student instructional days must conform to time allotments required for regular school days, minimum school days, early dismissals, and the last day of the school year.

The school calendar must provide additional days to be used for faculty in-service programs and retreats, as specified by the Department of Catholic Schools.

The principal shall submit the local school calendar to the assistant superintendent at the Department of Catholic Schools.
