STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Student Government is alive and thriving at Saint Paschal Baylon School (SPBS). Sixteen Student Council officers are elected each year by the student body in Grades 3-7, and they run events ranging from Spirit Days to Intramural Sports. Student Council officers meet regularly with their Faculty Moderator, in order to plan special events and prepare for the Thursday morning school assemblies. The Class Representatives meet monthly to share ideas and plan activities, also together with the Faculty Moderator. On Meeting Days, and on other days as designated, Student Council officers wear special school-issued light blue polo shirts to school, in lieu of their regular white SPBS logo shirts. This privilege identifies those students who have been elected to our Student Council to the rest of the SPBS student body. Student Council operates the Student Store (Bear Cave) and sponsors various activities to build school spirit and support. Student Council officers model leadership and stewardship for the students of SPBS. Eligibility requirements to run for Student Government are given to students in 6th & 7th grade at the beginning of the academic year. Please see “Student Council" on our school website for photos and more information about this worthwhile program.
