Doctor’s note: Beginning on the third (3rd) consecutive day of absence due to illness, a doctor’s note is required to excuse the absence and to support the student’s return. (Local school requirement; this verification does not change state truancy definitions.)
Reporting: Unexcused excessive absences and unexcused tardies (including 30+ minute tardies for truancy purposes) are a truancy matter and will be reported as required by law.
