A Welcome Message from our Principal ~

 Dear Students and Parents,

I am excited and enthused as I continue to serve Bishop Alemany High School in my position as Principal.  My first year was a memorable one and I have no doubts that this new year will be just as memorable!  We are excited to welcome back our returning students and welcome our incoming Freshmen and transfer students.

Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing a safe, robust, and innovative learning environment, and we have continued to push forward with new opportunities and learning experiences for our students.  We have successfully completed our accreditation process, identifying new organization goals for continuous improvement that will benefit our entire school community.

We at Bishop Alemany High School remain dedicated to our students' spiritual growth, academic achievement, emotional well-being, and physical safety.  Our faculty and staff have done an outstanding job in preparing to meet these needs and I have no doubt that our students will continue to excel in their various expressions of faith, academics, service, and community.  Whether pursuing excellence in academics, the arts, or in athletics, there is a place for every student here at Alemany.

Thank you for being an important part of our Alemany family and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work with you and your students as we prepare our young people for success!

Dr. Douglas Rynerson, Principal

A Welcome Message from our Chaplain ~

As I look back on my last three years here at Bishop Alemany – and now ahead to this fourth year – I really appreciate the new Seniors in a special way.  We've been here together the whole time!  I hope they feel the same challenge that I do – it no longer has the excitement of newness and the anxiety of simply trying to find my place.  It is time to accept the challenge of faithfulness and obedience, especially when it means simply accepting the daily grind and finding God in every little opportunity to love.

I'm excited to welcome the Freshmen and other new students who are just beginning this journey with that same excitement and anxiety that we all have known when we first arrived.

To the Sophomores, I know it's easy to feel like you are caught somewhere between being new (and maybe feeling irrelevant!) and having more expectations heaped upon your shoulders.  You now have the chance to begin stepping up and bringing your gifts when and where others may not be ready.

To the Juniors, with the looming horizon of becoming upperclassmen, while maybe also wishing one could go back to the “innocence" of being new Freshmen, I want to give you courage and patience.  Your time will come to be the leaders God calls you to be, but as we all do, you have much to keep learning.

And the best thing is, none of us are alone on this journey – whether just starting out, feeling invited to love when we may not find the excitement or return for what we give – the reason we are here is because we are family.  God bless you all here and now, at a new beginning of all things.

Fr. Timothy Grumbach, Chaplain
