Mission Statement

St. Gregory the Great School fosters a caring Catholic Christian environment, which provides a faith community and a challenging curriculum. As a result, each student will recognize their abilities and will be prepared to take on a positive role in our society.

Philosophy

St. Gregory the Great School endeavors to provide our students a Catholic education which integrates Gospel values with a quality educational program.

As our students grow in their personal lives, we seek to help our students develop a personal relationship with Jesus, whereby they come to recognize their gift of faith and the talents that they have been given through grace. We endeavor to help them recognize their responsibility in building a just and peaceful society.

We dedicate ourselves to creating an environment of love, forgiveness and mutual respect. It is our goal that St. Gregory students, through guidance, become morally self-disciplined citizens and active participants in their faith community and society.

We are committed to providing a quality academic education, recognizing the uniqueness of each individual and challenging each student to achieve their God-given potential.

Recognizing that parents are the primary educators of their children, we work together to promote consistency between the values taught in school and those fostered in the home.  As partners in the educational process, we pledge ourselves to enhance and compliment them by providing a school program which promotes student growth in all the major areas of human development.

Inclusion Philosophy
Our Catholic faith teaches us the worth of every individual, and we believe all students are unique and valued. Teaching in an inclusive environment is characterized at St. Gregory the Great School by di

fferentiated instruction and teaching to the various learning styles of each student. It has touched the spiritual and academic development of every student at our school. Differentiated Instruction is an instructional strategy that, in simplest terms, means revising lessons and instructional delivery to meet the individual needs of each child in the classroom. St. Gregory the Great  School sees this as foundational to an inclusive environment, because educationally the goal is to have all students experience measurable growth over each school year. This growth is regardless of whether a student is a high performing student or a student who needs additional assistance with key concepts. Thus, it is always important to stress to our parents, staff, and teachers that every child at St. Gregory the Great is part of this inclusive environment.

Vision

Steeped in the rich Catholic tradition and Gospel values, St. Gregory the Great School works in partnership with Church, family, and community to continuously strengthen our faith and spiritual formation. Our students flourish in a collaborative, challenging, academic environment rooted in our Catholic faith.

With high expectations, we endeavor to develop in our students a growth mindset and a globalized focus in service learning. It is our goal to empower all students to be Christ-like leaders who can creatively and ethically respond to the challenges of the 21st century.
