A student is considered tardy if he/she arrives to class after the bell at 8:00 a.m. Students who are tardy must report to the office to receive a tardy slip. Students will only be admitted to class with a tardy slip. The only excused tardy is for a medical or dental appointment. Students may lose credit for work missed due to an unexcused tardy.
Appointments are discouraged during school hours; however, if an appointment is absolutely necessary the tardiness will be marked as excused if a dated slip is brought from the doctor's or dentist's office. Consistent tardiness is unacceptable and must be rectified. A detention will be issued after 3 unexcused tardies in one trimester.
