Teacher made and/or publisher generated measurements are used for both formative and summative assessments of the student's mastery and knowledge in the subject areas.
In addition to teacher-made
tests which are part of the school work, the STAR Assessment is administered to
students in grades TK-8 during three designated periods throughout the year. The test is conducted online and assesses students in grades two though eight in Reading and Math. In grades TK through 3rd grade an Early Literacy test is taken instead of, or in addtiion to, the Reading and Math tests.
As scheduled by the Department of Catholic Schools, eighth graders take
the Assessment of Catholic Religious Education (ACRE, Level 1), and fifth
graders take the Assessment of Catholic Religious Education (ACRE, Level 2) each year.
