SCL SPORTS PROGRAM GENERAL POLICIES

Registration & Payments- Payments are due for all programs at time of registration. Parents must register their child on the SCL Sports Website. A $65 sport fee will be added to your smart tuition account. The cap per season is $195.00, if you have multiple children participating.  This fee helps to cover the cost for games sites, uniforms, equipment and officials' fees. A payment plan may be allowed if previously agreed upon by the parent and SCL. A scholarship is only offered after the family has applied for aid and been approved by SCL Admin. If you are interested in applying for registration fee assistance please contact Coach Rachel Directly at pittockr@stcat.org

Refunds- Program costs are fixed; therefore, SCL Sports incurs costs whether a youth finishes a complete season or not.  A surcharge will be assessed in the following way:

Before Registration Period Ends = FULL REFUND

Prior to First Game = $65 credit toward future seasons

After the First Game of the Season = $40 credit toward future seasons

A cancellation request email must be submitted to pittockr@stcat.org in order to be reviewed for credit.

Minimum Play/ Excused Absences- B & C Level Teams are looked at as a developmental program, where A Level is a more competitive program. SCL sports does not require equal sports playing time for any level, but it is recommended all athletes get a chance to play in each game. Excused absences are permitted and will not be punished in any way, example; by not playing in a game.

Transportation Policy- SCL Requires all Sport Program Participants to find their own transportation to and from all events. This includes but is not limited to practices, league play games, playoff games, championships, and any school sponsored clinics/team events. SCL is not responsible for any transportation and will not pay for any team's transportation.

Coaches will not be responsible for students left on the school grounds after practices and/or games. Parents must make arrangements to pick up their child when the practice and/or game concludes. Students not picked up will be checked into daycare.

Uniform Policy- SCL distribute uniforms at the beginning of the season, and collects them at the end of the season. In an effort to teach the athletes responsibility we are asking all athletes to keep their uniforms throughout the season and arrive to each game with their uniform on. If a player does not arrive to a game with their uniform, they will not be allowed to play as we will not have extra uniforms at the games. At the end of the season we will collect the uniforms and the player will be cleared. If a player does not return their uniform a $25 fee for each item not returned will be charged to your smart tuition account. We are asking that parents help us in this effort to help ensure that athletes take care of their uniforms and show up to each game ready to play. To help take care of our uniforms, please wash & air dry all SCL uniforms.

Medical Emergencies- For any injury or accident that requires something other than a cleaning and covering with a bandage, coaches will contact the parents. If the injury is serious the coach is required to call 911 to seek professional medical assistance. Parents or guardians must also be contacted. Any injury or accident involving professional medical assistance and/or EMS needs to be reported to Coach Rachel.

Note- If medical transportation is required, the charges incurred will be billed to the parents and/or the parent's insurance policy. Please notify us if your child has a pre-existing medical condition (i.e. allergies, medications, physical impairments, etc.) on the registration form. This is essential in order to determine the severity of an accident and to assist the medical personnel who respond to the scene.

Weather- The safety of the participants, officials, and spectators is the primary concern in cases of inclement weather. League Administrators, Game Officials or Coaches, will have the responsibility to remove the players from the field if the conditions become extreme.

Game Cancellations and Rescheduling- If a game is canceled due to weather or other unforeseeable circumstances, efforts will be made to reschedule that game. However due to time restraints and/or field usage conflicts, some games may not be made up. It will be the decision of the CYO/FIYA League Administration when and if the games are made up.

Substance Abuse- Drugs and alcoholic beverages are not permitted at any youth practices or games. Any player or coach found guilty of substance abuse will be dismissed from the program. Parents/spectators who consume drugs or alcohol prior to attending youth games will not be allowed on the premises. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE and security forces will be notified. SCL grounds are TOBACCO-FREE areas. Coaches, players, and parents are asked to refrain from smoking at youth practices or games
