If unable to make a tuition payment on-time for any reason, it is the parent's responsibility to contact and inform St. Catherine Labouré School. The school may allow a grace period and in some cases may set up a formal, temporary plan. Note that this also applies to school fundraising fees. The school reserves the right to ask parents to withdraw their child(ren) where parents fail to abide by these policies, including:

  • failure to contact and inform the school of a late or missed payment (must inform the administration the first month a payment is missed)
  • multiple missed or late payments
  • failure to follow through with or abide by an agreed upon payment plan established by the school
  • failure to adequately communicate with the school regarding finances (i.e. not returning phone calls or responding to emails regarding finances OR failure to follow through with what is indicated in that correspondence).

                        Upon the first delinquency:

  • After 35 days of delinquency, a warning letter will be sent from St. Catherine Labouré School.
  • After 45 days of delinquency, a phone call will be made or email sent.
  • After 60 days of delinquency (or 45 days for any second or subsequent delinquency), a letter will be sent notifying the family that their child(ren) will not be permitted to return to school until the entire delinquency is resolved and payment is received.  If a check is used for payment, student(s) cannot return until the check is cashed and funds are received.
  • Any child whose family is delinquent by more than 60 days or delinquent at the end of the school year may be precluded from participating in any school related activities or functions (graduation, athletic teams or events, extracurricular activities).
  • If families are chronically delinquent with tuition payments, the administration has the right to withhold Smart Tuition options and require families to pay tuition in full in order for the students to return to school in August.

Please note:  Students of families that are in arrears by three months or more in tuition or daycare payments will not be able to participate in extra-curricular activities.
