5.9.4 Transfers

A transfer is defined as moving from one department or one location to another in the same wage range and at the same pay rate. For transfers between locations, employees retain their seniority for retirement plan purposes, but accrued vacation is paid out at the time of transfer. For the effect of a location transfer on other benefits, contact the Human Resources Department. At the Archdiocesan Catholic Center, ordinarily, employees should be in their position for at least six months before applying for a transfer and submit an Internal Transfer Application to the Human Resources Department. All transfers require approval of the appropriate persons in charge.

Employees of the Archdiocesan Catholic Center and cemeteries and mortuaries will no longer be eligible to participate in the State Unemployment Insurance and State Disability Insurance programs if they transfer to another archdiocesan location.
