7.2.6 Cellular Antennas
Cell tower leases are administered by the Real Estate Department under specific contracts. Leasing of property for cellular antennas may be allowed in some instances. If a location is approached by a company proposing to place cell tower equipment at the location, the person in charge should direct the company to the Leasing office of the
Real Estate Department. The proposal will be reviewed by outside consultants in consultation with the Real Estate Department and the location will be advised.
Before directing the company to the Leasing office with a cell tower proposal, the person in charge should take into consideration whether the community is supportive of the presence of a cell tower. Cell tower leases must be signed by the archdiocese and not by a pastor/administrator or principal.
