​​5.10.7 Grievance and Investigation Records

The records include:

  • Appeal/review
  • Complaint/grievance

  • Documentation submitted by grievant, including electronic files such as videos, texts

  • Documentation submitted by others, including electronic files

  • Notes of investigation

  • Outcome of investigation

  • Witness statements, if any

Personnel-related files should never be destroyed without permission of the Human Resource​​s Department​ or the Department of Ca​tholic Schools.​ See the Record Retention Schedule (sorted by category and record type).​ Communications with legal counsel are protected by the attorney-client communications privilege only if the recipient of the communication maintains confidentiality and does not share the communications with others.
