​​​6.1.1 Archdiocesan Financial Services Group

​​​​​The archdiocesan Financial Services Group (which includes the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Department, the Construction Department, Operations, Purchasing/Mail Center, Applied Technology, the Insurance Department, and the Real Estate Department) oversees financial matters in the archdiocese under the ultimate authority of the archbishop, the moderator of the curia, the archdiocesan Finance Council, and the chief financial officer. It serves as the principal resource for locations on financial matters. Archdiocesan Catholic Center Operations

The operations of the Archdiocesan Catholic Center (ACC) are reflected in annual audited financial statements of the administrative and regional offices, archdiocesan cemeteries and mortuaries, and captive insurance companies, all of which are fiscally responsible to the archbishop. The day-to-day operations of the ACC are financed from assessments obtained from the parishes and revenues from cemetery operations, gifts, assets, rents, and royalties.

Some charges are billed monthly; others are billed on the applicable designated schedules. Other billings are based on appraised values using actuarial industry standards. The ACC also distributes property tax bills to the locations for direct payment to the taxing authorities.​
